Rejoicing, dancing, singing. This is what happens when devotees of God get together to sing the glories of God. They long for an opportunity to sing glories of God and exchange experiences of God. As soon as they get such opportunity they rejoice. They do not need any instruments for singing neither they are concerned if they are following rules of music. Just a clap for a beat is enough. What is more important for them is the feeling of joy that emanates from their heart because they got opportunity to sing the glory of God.
As Shri Krishna was to Gokula residents, so was Shri Saibaba to Shirdi residents, so was Shri Gajanan Maharaj to Shegaon residents, so was Shripad ShriVallabha to Pithikapur residents. As time passes, forms change but the relation remains same – eternal relation between soul and super soul.
Even now, as reading Maha Bhagwat gives the same joy to Shri Krishna devotees, that was experienced by Gokula residents, so does Shri Sai Satcharit to Shri Saibaba devotees, so does Shri Gajanan Vijay to Shri Gajanan Maharaj devotees, so does Shripad ShriVallabha Charitamrut to Shripad Shrivallabh devotees.
In fact reading gives more joy as reading can be repeated as many times as one can.
